Some big studios are including Blender in their workflow. That small local studio I worked for did everything from games to ArchViz so it was pretty whacky. While it is unlikely for bigger places to use Blender, you might find that some indie studios and other smaller 3D related studios might opt for Blender due to its free nature. If you freelance, nobody can really dictate what software you use. I've actually found work with Blender before, but it was a very small local studio which just did random outsource work that came their way.
